These filters are awesome; everyone that has seen a Carbon Active Filter has bought one. Its simply a matter of rolling out stock to the Hydroponic Shops to allow UK availability as new stock has only just arrived.

There are three main advantages of Carbon Active Filters: lightness, efficiency and increased extractor fan performance. It is these three reasons that you will choose this a carbon active filter over any filters currently available to the UK market.

Lightness
Carbon Active Filters are incredibly light, the 4" dia version (this still handles up to 300 m3/h) is only 1Kg! that's about the weight of a bag of sugar. Even the largest filter handling a massive 3000 m3/h is only 10Kg. This makes them perfect for tents and hanging from ceilings.

Efficiency
Carbon Active has a different approach to carbon efficiency with amazing results. Quite simply, the carbon is pulverized; resulting is a massive increase in surface area. This increases the effectiveness of the carbon by over 100 times more than current carbon filters on the market.

Increased extractor fan performance
If this pulverized carbon were added to the filter body it would be too dense to use, so Carbon Active impregnate the pulverized carbon to specially treated pleated filter media. This then forms the perfect unison of highly efficient carbon with increased extract fans performance. This in turn adds extra airflow for your grow room or tent, less stress on your fan and less noise.

When tested, you can actually FEEL the air being sucked through these filters. They are also very clean and completely carbon dust free.

Activated carbon has the highest volume of absorbing porosity of any material known to mankind. It is therefore the strongest physical extracting force to eliminate contaminating or polluting molecules out of a liquid or gaseous substance (air).

The porous structure gives the carbon a more extensive surface area which allows it to adsorb a wide range of compounds. While water penetrates the most inner pores, air will remain around the outer surface of the activated carbon particle.

By pulverizing activated carbon into minute particles, the adsorbing surface is increased by 1000 times. In doing so, we are able to remove unwanted odours a highly efficient way.
